PalletXpress established to professionalise and streamline the Irish freight distribution industry

PalletXpress was established in 2004 to professionalise and streamline the Irish freight distribution industry.  We introduced the ‘hub and spoke’ model, already established in the UK, to Ireland and today remain the leading Irish freight distribution network. Our customers enjoy excellent customer service and efficient freight delivery options at competitive rates.

Traditionally, freight distribution was disorganised and costly, with empty or near-empty trucks making long commutes for customers.  In a hub and spoke model, the central hub strategically distributes incoming and outgoing freight to hauliers to ensure full-loads on the roads at all times. The model offers a number of environmental benefits by reducing fuel costs and the carbon footprint of both customers and the haulage company.

We operate from a central hub in Ballycoolin, Dublin. The hub is conveniently located near the M50, providing easy access to our 24 nationwide network members.  Members offer a next day pallet collection and delivery service in Ireland and an express 48 hour import/export service to and from the UK with onward connections to the EU. We process over 2,000 pallets a day with over 200 PXP trucks on the road every day.
