Each day members interface with the hub and each other via the Internet, which enables booking information to be conveyed and shared instantly and facilitates efficient load planning. By capturing all transaction-related information in one place, this sophisticated technology also supplies a wide range of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) by which members’ performance can be judged, e.g. timeliness of collections / deliveries, POD availability, etc.
On-line Booking
An online booking service is available to customers who prefer to be more proactive in their order processing. Customers are issued with individual usernames and passwords, and can book jobs directly through this website. They can then follow the progress of their bookings through the tracking information on the site, and also access historical information relating to previous bookings.
Tracking
PalletXpress is one of the first pallet networks in Europe to build an integrated barcoding solution into its technology infrastructure, to record the progress of each and every consignment within the PalletXpress system. The status of each transaction is registered from the moment of collection and this process continues right through to delivery, so that up-to-date tracking information is available at all times. Furthermore, customers can access this information at the click of a mouse through the PalletXpress website, giving them total visibility and greater control regarding the whereabouts of their consignments.
